Trinity Theatre Film Rating Policy

Rating for all movies are issued through the MPAA.  Theatres are expected to follow the guidelines given.  Trinity Theatre has made it a policy to follow all rating systems as requirements.  Customers and employees are under the same rules for each rating.  Employees are not exempt from these policies simply because they work at the Trinity Theatre.  All persons attending a movie are expected to know the rating and content of the film they are going to watch and cannot hold Trinity Theatre responsible for any conflict regarding the content of a film.

 

Rated ‘G’ films are ‘General Admission’, and are intended for all audiences.  They do not tend to contain any subject matter which may be inappropriate for certain audiences.  Ages 0 and up may attend films with this rating with no restrictions enforced by Trinity Theatre.

 

Rated PG films are ‘Parental Guidance Admission’, and it is expected that parents know the subject matter which may include, but not limited to; mild peril situations, some violence, suggestive matter, mild language, and all content which may be inappropriate for certain audiences, and requiring a rating of ‘PG’ by any governing body.  Ages 0 and up may attend films with this rating with no restriction enforced by Trinity Theatre.

 

Rated ‘PG-13’ films are ‘Parental Guidance for ages 13 and up Admission’, and it is expected that parents know the subject matter which may include, but not limited to; violence, sexual content, partial nudity, language, some drug and alcohol use, disturbing images, and any content which may be inappropriate for certain audiences, and all content requiring a rating of ‘PG-13’ rating by a governing body.  At the discretion of the Shift Manager working, ages 0-12 are encouraged to have a parent purchase the ticket, and ages 13 and up may attend films with this rating with no restrictions enforced by Trinity Theatre.

 

Rated ‘R’ films are ‘Restricted Admission’, and it is expected that the parents know the subject matter which may include, but not limited to; strong language, drug and alcohol use, graphic and brutal violence, graphic nudity, scenes involving sexual acts, disturbing content, adult content and situations, content intended for mature audiences, and all content requiring a rating of ‘R’ by any governing body.  Ages 0-10 will not be admitted into the movie without the parent attending the movie with them.  Ages 11-16 require a parent to purchase the tickets for the children, and ages 17 and up may attend films with this rating with no restrictions enforced by Trinity Theatre.
